TO BE OR NOT TO BE?

I have always found it to be strange, that after all these years of emancipation, women have still failed to achieve the same level of communion as men. Perhaps we have, but I have yet to feel a stronger sense of sisterhood that we all claim to experience. The only people we should blame for the lack in gender equality is ourselves: For constantly uprising against one another without full cause as to why?

How is it that a scorned woman is another woman's nightmare? As history has proved, many-a-time: the only real threats that face two women in a relationship, is the man and his penis; not even money can cause as great a drift between two sisters. It is frightening to see how the main problem that women face daily is their attachment to men. For someone who is generally all for the sisters, I am sorry to say that, as I grow older, I am starting to lose my faith in our sex as a whole.

It all starts with YOU! To be or not to be, with the man of your dreams... What does that entail? Do you fight, do you run, or do you stay? To be or not to be honest in your existence, whether or not your actions are in good faith or not. To be or not to be: livid with the girl, who dated your sister's best friend's ex-boyfriend of five years ago and is now sleeping with your brother or his best friend whom she met on a trip abroad, without the smallest thought of your presence (or lack thereof) in her life. To be or not to be on one friend's side of the fence, when a situation is so far removed from your soul, that you cannot even gather the true facts of such a situation. To be or not to be present in your own life and understanding of your interactions with every being that you encounter.

To be secure in yourself and your relations with others, in the aims of the discovery of self and selves alike. To be aware and conscious of your behaviour; knowing that in its purest form, you do not need to be apologetic for it.  To be free, to be an explorer, to learn, to trust, to be you, to do your best, to be patient... TO BE ALIVE WITH POSSIBILITY.

To be one with your higher self, with no explanations, no guilt, no need for shame. As a collective, the only other collective of sexes, we need to do better in trying harder to understand each other and ourselves as a whole.

To be or not to be... That is the question.
