FALL IN LOVE!

Love thyself as thy neighbour. - KI

The book of Leviticus is structured in a simplistic, definitive manner; whereby the intention is to identify the restrictions within Godly, Human, Sexual relationships.

The only way in which we may be able to define such restrictions, set out in the third book of the Bible, is for us to engage with others, in a manner which is: understanding and all encompassing of our truest sense of being. This sense of sensitivity is something which I find that we are so afraid to project unto our surrounding Universe. We have been conditioned to believe that: the expression of our deepest emotions, needs to be suppressed until such a time that we have ascertained our worth in the eyes of another. We have subconsciously chosen. as a global society, to enslave the feelings within our hearts; to the point where they appear diminished by unnecessary emotions such as fear.

I believe that it would be in our best interests to fall in love with ourselves again (quietly). We need to be transparent in our engagement with others, in order to fully take in the experiences of human interaction; whether it be of mental, emotional, spiritual or physical nature. We need to be frank in our dictation of self and we need to be confident within our existence. We do not need to be restricted in our interaction with others.

WE NEED TO BE REAL!

We need to speak more, of our hearts and less of our minds.
For the Heart knows what the Soul desires and in its knowing state it remains our only saving grace.

EASTERN BAZAAR!

This evening, I was tempted to go out and PARTY, after experiencing: what turned out to be a very long day. I was so excited to catch up with some old mates and have a few pints to cheers to the celebration of life.

Alas, I decided that it would be best to hop in the shower and freshen up. I was thoroughly enjoying the balmy mist that filled the corners of my bathroom. Leisurely, I soothed my soul in the depth of the tempered moisture against my skin. All of a sudden, my second best friend, HUNGER, decided to come and join the party and it was in this moment that I decided that: The only saving grace of today's intensity is that of cooking a delicious meal for one. The only party that I wanted to enjoy, was the one in my mouth.

I realise now, more than ever before that: The Blessings are difficult to come by, yet simple to create.

I tried my hand at preparing some home-made Indian flatbread, served with a hot vegetable curry and...

TA-DAAAAA!

Topped with some sunflower seeds... WE LOVE SUNFLOWER SEEDS, INDEED!

Guten Appetit und 'Vorsprung Ze Germs' - Enjoy the meal and 'GO THE GERMANS'! :)

IF YOU'RE HAPPY AND YOU KNOW IT.... CAPRICORN :)

I do not know whether or not I believe in horoscopes, because the way in which they are written, allows for them to be applicable to most people who share generic characteristics. I do however, believe in positivity; thus I have chosen to share with you all, the words that were presented to me today, by the stars. Generic or specific to my sign, I believe that these words would be positively influential in the mind, heart and soul of anyone who believes in the manifestation of eternal happiness.

Your Passion Is Your Purpose

May 19, 2013

Capricorn Daily Horoscope

Your desire to examine your life’s overall direction could lead you on a search for a more meaningful life today, for asking yourself what your purpose in this life is might cause you to question the everyday aspects of your existence. This would be a good time to look more closely at what parts of your life ignite your passion the most and how you can incorporate those elements into your life – for it is your passion that is what ultimately connects you to your higher purpose. Perhaps you can consider what you would do if you didn’t have to worry about anything in life—that is, what truly sings to the depths of your soul. As you explore this more deeply, you may wish to think about whether you are already living this passion. You may find that your direction and purpose become clearer as a result of your self-examination.

There are two types of Capricorns, according to many astrologists.
Both of them are represented by 'The Goat':
"The first is represented by the mountain goat, always climbing higher and higher; never content until reaching the top. The second is the garden goat, with little adventurous spirit or ambition-happy to remain within a small domain, refusing to budge unless it is pushed. Either type of Capricorn, however, is patient and persevering. They reach their goals because they know the longest journey commences with a single step and that the first step is always the most difficult."

Our purpose in life is directly linked to our passion, for it is through passions that the universe has given us the gifts to uncover the greater reason for our existence. If we were inclined to be an artist or writer, for example, our desire to do this type of creative work can propel us to delve further into the reason for our being. By doing what energises you today, you will move closer to self-realisation and a have a greater understanding of the meaning of your life – not only for yourself, but for the whole world.

There are musicians and there are artists! This man, Petite Noir, has a talent that appears to resonate both beings.
I am very impressed by: the cinematography of this music video, the production of the song and the all encompassing sense of power that it portrays. The angles at which it is shot, allows for the viewer to become absorbed in the intimacy which is projected between the two lovers. The use of close-up shots in various scenes of hand-holding and slight caressing, gives one a deeper connection to the ideals and inspirational sources of energy that allow for us to reproduce our love. Love is a powerful concept and this song speaks to my soul in its melancholic, yet strong undertones of unity of the souls exposed on our screens.

LISTEN TO THE STRINGS IN THIS PRODUCTION! AMAZING, REALLY AMAZING!

SHARING IS CARING!

When I was younger, I was a very active sports-woman. I played a lot of sport growing up and this has stemmed the basis of my need for genuine unity amongst my community. Due to my primary focus on developing my skills as an athlete, I now find that there are so many other forms of cultural engagement that I neglected to give my attention to; even though all of the opportunities to indulge in the arts of dance and music, were readily available to me. I started learning how to play the piano at the age of fourteen and the guitar was always within arms length, but there was never enough fuel to ignite the fire within me, to develop my skills as a musician. Music is a soulful experience, that we should feel blessed to be able to hear. Many people have often said to me "It's too late now to learn how to play an instrument or to try and dance in a ballet recital.". Too late? There is no such thing as being 'too late', in my life. As long as your journey aligns itself with the golden path of your heart's desires, nothing can stop you from achieving your goals. People find themselves, at different stages throughout their lives and it has been a blessing to take on the task of fulfilling my childhood dreams, which have always been inherent to my existence on planet earth.

I happened to be reflecting on my life thus far during a recent visit to the city of Cape Town
- ONE OF THE BEST CITIES EVER.

I&I and a friend of I, embraked on a sultry walk through the market of the town's centre; when I stumbled across two men playing their guitars. In that moment, my private musical career saw its spark. I thought to myself, how can I engage these men in a manner that is:
1. Not derogatory
2. Genuine in its nature and
3. Equally beneficial and in good faith to all of the parties involved.

It was then, that I decided to make them an offer to teach me how to play the guitar in return for a small fee. BUSINESS IS BUSINESS, right?

To my delight, the men were more than willing and even more so excited to teach me their craft. At a very low cost, I found myself NOT ONE, but TWO guitar instructors.

I am very passionate about uplifting my community. It is a very important part of my purpose in this world, because I believe in the ideals of celebrating our diversity.

Today, I was lucky enough to come across one of those musicians that play their music by the Pay-Station of the parking lot. I thought to myself, why not give him the same opportunity that I offered to the two men in Cape Town? With that thought and a brief exchange of words and smiles, I accomplished one of my life-long dreams: in solidifiying a symbiotic relationship, for the better-good of our lives; simultaneously scoring myself an amazing, affordable guitar instructor in Johannesburg too. If you too, are a constant dreamer... Open your eyes and make those dreams come true. It all starts with uplifting yourself in uplifting others.

This is life... My dreams are consistently coming true and I would not choose to trade places with any other in this world we live in.

TO BE OR NOT TO BE?

I have always found it to be strange, that after all these years of emancipation, women have still failed to achieve the same level of communion as men. Perhaps we have, but I have yet to feel a stronger sense of sisterhood that we all claim to experience. The only people we should blame for the lack in gender equality is ourselves: For constantly uprising against one another without full cause as to why?

How is it that a scorned woman is another woman's nightmare? As history has proved, many-a-time: the only real threats that face two women in a relationship, is the man and his penis; not even money can cause as great a drift between two sisters. It is frightening to see how the main problem that women face daily is their attachment to men. For someone who is generally all for the sisters, I am sorry to say that, as I grow older, I am starting to lose my faith in our sex as a whole.

It all starts with YOU! To be or not to be, with the man of your dreams... What does that entail? Do you fight, do you run, or do you stay? To be or not to be honest in your existence, whether or not your actions are in good faith or not. To be or not to be: livid with the girl, who dated your sister's best friend's ex-boyfriend of five years ago and is now sleeping with your brother or his best friend whom she met on a trip abroad, without the smallest thought of your presence (or lack thereof) in her life. To be or not to be on one friend's side of the fence, when a situation is so far removed from your soul, that you cannot even gather the true facts of such a situation. To be or not to be present in your own life and understanding of your interactions with every being that you encounter.

To be secure in yourself and your relations with others, in the aims of the discovery of self and selves alike. To be aware and conscious of your behaviour; knowing that in its purest form, you do not need to be apologetic for it.  To be free, to be an explorer, to learn, to trust, to be you, to do your best, to be patient... TO BE ALIVE WITH POSSIBILITY.

To be one with your higher self, with no explanations, no guilt, no need for shame. As a collective, the only other collective of sexes, we need to do better in trying harder to understand each other and ourselves as a whole.

To be or not to be... That is the question.
